Corporate & Group Volunteering
Organisation Goals and Values
We are proud supporters of our members and our communities. We support local not-for-profit organisations to raise funds for their organisations through local sponsorships and community schemes such as our Good for Good sponsorship program. We also encourage our staff to get involved in the community through volunteering. We have a reputation for being genuine, putting people first and bringing our best. We have been supporting people and helping communities achieve their goals and enrich their lives for nearly 50 years.
As an organisation servicing members throughout Queensland, we have staff located in the following locations: Aitkenvale, Atherton, Ayr, Beaudesert, Booval, Bowen, Brassall, Brisbane city, Cairns city, Caneland Central, Charters Towers, Collinsville, Deeragun, Earlville, Home Hill, Innisfail, Jimboomba, Magnetic Island, Mount Isa, Mount Pleasant, Smithfield, Stanthorpe, Townsville City, Virginia, Weipa, Willows, Yamanto.
At Queensland Country, we are big believers in supporting regional Queenslanders and the communities in which we operate. We believe we have a responsibility n duty to give back, and that being a good corporate citizen begins with making it possible for our employees to serve our communities actively. Every year, our employees receive up to 2 days of paid volunteer time for a through our Community Volunteer Program, lending their time and expertise to a not-for-profit charity or local community association of their choice. Employees can participate in a variety of activities such as spending time in schools, fundraising at community events, engaging in mentoring projects or dedicating their time to local community groups.
Our organisation is made up of a diverse team of people from all walks of life and wide-ranging life experiences. We recognise that our staff have preferences for the type of volunteering they get involved in. Internally we group this into three categories: a) Fostering, nurturing and caring b) Talent, skills and knowledge and c) Fundraising. Our staff are interested in all kinds of volunteering activities from animal rescue, conservation, numeracy and literacy assistance, Christmas gift wrapping, fixing teddy bears to name a few.
