Volunteer Referral Service Membership

Our aim is for a North Queensland community rich in community participation through volunteering.

To do this, we need to connect as many people who want to volunteer with organisations who need them. Available to Not-For-Profit organisations who are members of VNQ only, our Volunteer Referral Service sources volunteers for you.

VNQ's Volunteer Referral Service

We have a team of professionally trained referral officers, paid and volunteer staff, ready to help you. We can help you source Volunteer Board members, professional assistance for special projects; hands for your everyday tasks; or volunteers for your next event. All for one low fee. 

  • Recruitment Platform - Advertising on VNQ Website, social media, national/local platforms, incl. Seek/Go Volunteer.
  • Position development assistance – helping you create the perfect position description.
  • Dedicated referral team interaction + 6-week follow-up on recruitment.
  • Post-placement surveys and Data Collection on experience
  • Volunteer management resources.
  • Opportunity for Stall at our Annual VEXPO – Volunteering EXPO
  • Auto-Archive Policy: Roles marked "successful" if no feedback after 6 weeks.
  • New Member Pack: See Membership Rollout for full info on pack.
  • Unlimited Access to Volunteering North Queensland Training Sessions.
  • Unlimited Access to Volunteering North Queensland Events such as National Volunteer Week, International Volunteer Day etc.
  • Networking: Access to quarterly/bi-annual Meet & Greet events from Volunteering North Queensland (e.g., networking BBQs).

Volunteer Referral Service Fees

Membership to VNQ shows you care about the community you live in.

VNQ’s Volunteer Referral Service is a ‘fee for service’, based on the number of volunteer positions you advertise with us during the course of a year. It is a cost-effective way of sourcing volunteers for your organisation.

Advertised for you during a 12 month period

  • Up to Three (3) volunteer positions $100

    Your Annual Fee (inclusive of GST) is valid until 30 June 2026 (pro-rated from date of purchase)

  • Up to five (5) volunteer positions $200

    Your Annual Fee (inclusive of GST) is valid until 30 June 2026 (pro-rated from date of purchase)

  • Six plus (6+) volunteer positions $300

    Your Annual Fee (inclusive of GST) is valid until 30 June 2026 (pro-rated from date of purchase)
