The Department of Local Government, Water and Volunteers (DLGWV) has been engaging with key stakeholders to develop a Draft Vision, Draft Enablers and an understanding of priority focus areas for action, to develop the 10-Year Volunteering Plan.
Building from the Inquiry, Queensland Government Response and engagement with key groups including the Ministerial Advisory Panel for Volunteering, the QGVWG and the Emergency Volunteer Advisory Forum, a Have Your Say online survey has been launched to consult on these ideas and to hear directly from volunteers, non-volunteers and organisations about what could help make volunteering easier, more flexible, inclusive and rewarding.
We are particularly keen to hear from young people, regional perspectives, people with disability, culturally and linguistically diverse and Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The survey is live on the Have your say | qld.gov.au portal until 24 July 2026.
