Winners of the 2025 Volunteering North Queensland Volunteer of the Year Awards were announced at a Mayoral Civic Reception on 20th May 2025, hosted by Townsville City Council. Held during National Volunteer Week celebrations, the annual awards honour the amazing North Queensland volunteers who work tirelessly to strengthen our North Queensland and surrounding communities.
Congratulations to the winners of the eight awards categories:
- Susan Triffit – Volunteer of the Year Award;
- Poppylillac Gough – Youth Volunteer of the Year Award;
- Ann-Maree Hislop – Lifetime Contribution to Volunteering Award;
- Narelle Burns – Excellence in Volunteer Management Award;
- Meals on Wheels Mount Isa Branch – Community Volunteering Program Impact Award;
- Ausfield Services – Corporate Volunteering Award;
- Chrystal Wallace – Sports Volunteer Administrator Award; and
- Jimmy Overall – Neighbour of the Year Award.
