Volunteering North Queensland has locked in a dynamic range of expert speakers, all with many years of leadership, experience and knowledge, for its inaugural Conference program.
Whether a volunteer, volunteer manager or community organisation the program has something for everyone.
Following a Welcome by Event Emcee, Glenn ‘Minty’ Mintern, the program kicks off with magic and comedy perfectly mixed together in a unique motivational story – “Nothing is Impossible” – delivered by world renowned comedian, magician, author and Keynote Speaker, Brad Manuel.
Workshops to follow, some of which run concurrently, include:

Bookending the day’s workshops will be a panel discussion about Mental Wellbeing – “Through the Eyes of Volunteers and Volunteer Managers” – hosted by Dr Jo Lukins (Psychologist, Author & Presenter) with guests Ray Thompson (North Queensland Toyota Cowboys, Community Engagement), Andrew Walters (Australia Day 2022, Senior Sports Award Recipient) and Michelle Morton (Managing Partner, wilson/ryan/grose).
The conference will wrap up with “Where to From Here” in time for participants to freshen up and head to the Cocktail Affair Awards Dinner & Drinks for the celebration and announcement of the Volunteer of the Year Awards.
